The soloists

All-round singer Janneke Elisabeth interprets Édith Piaf

Janneke Elisabeth (Amsterdam, 1994) was brought up on the music of Édith Piaf. As an all-round singer she interprets many genres: musical, jazz, pop and chansons. With Janneke's sound, timbre and charisma, Marc Forno sees in her the perfect Piaf.

“Since childhood, French music has had a special place in my heart. Growing up with a record player full of different genres, I often heard my father singing French songs by Jacques Brel along. France, a beloved vacation destination, brought wonderful memories and strengthened my love for the language and chansons.

Édith Piaf fascinated me with her expressive voice and stories full of power and emotion. During my studies, I discovered her records, which fueled my passion for her music. Now, years later, I get to sing her iconic songs with a live orchestra - a dream come true that I embrace with pride and passion.”

Singer/actor/theater producer Filip Jordens ís Jacques Brel

Filip Jordens (Leuven, 1975) has a rich career as a singer, actor and theater maker. His Hommage à Brel, a profound and emotional tribute to the iconic Belgian chansonnier Jacques Brel, has brought him to stages in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany and even Hong Kong, Uganda and the United Arab Emirates.

With performances ranging from intimate theaters to large-scale events, such as the Bal National in Brussels and collaborations with symphonic orchestras, Jordens knows how to bring Brel's legacy to life. The highlight was his participation in the multimedia concert Je m'appelle Jacques Brel at Forest National in 2018, in honor of the 40th anniversary of Brel's death.

His authenticity and passion make Jordens a unique interpreter of Jacques Brel's timeless repertoire.

Performer/actor/singer Dan Menasche, aka 'Monsieur Aznavour'

Dan Menasche (Brussels, 1985) is a multi-faceted performer, acclaimed for his impressive stage presence and musical talent. With a passion for music and theater, Dan knows how to bring the iconic chansons of Charles Aznavour to life, touching the audience with his warm voice and emotive intensity.

At age 11, Dan's parents enrolled him in drama school, and only six months later he secured the lead role in Oliver Twist at the Cirque Royal in Brussels. His career includes major musicals and prestigious Disney concerts.

A native of Belgium, Dan speaks fluent French and grew up listening to legendary greats such as Piaf, Aznavour and Brel. With his tribute to Aznavour, Dan Menasche honors the timeless legacy of one of France's greatest chansonniers.

“Charles Aznavour is a true legend of French chanson.

He is known for his immense talent, exceptional career and unique interpretation of his songs. Performing Charles Aznavour is like playing a role: every song by this legendary artist tells a story, which makes the experience all the more enriching and exciting. It is a pure pleasure to honor his work.”
